A Message from Our Principal
Misty Huffman

Attention Toltec School District Families - A letter from our Superintendent:

January 21, 2021
Dear Families of Toltec School District Students,
With the rising numbers of COVID-19 cases within our District boundary, the decision to remain in virtual instruction/learning has been made for the safety of our students, staff, and families. We hope to be able to begin a hybrid model of instruction/learning following Spring Break on Monday, March 22, 2021. The hybrid model permits students to attend class in-person. We remain in consult with Pinal County Health Services as we continue to progress through this pandemic. Many of our community members, including staff and students, have fought this virus within the past ten months. Although we have health safeguards and protocols in place at Arizona City Elementary School and Toltec Elementary School, we remain very cautious and follow the advice of those who are health specialists. Currently, Toltec School District boundary (our community) has the highest percentage of positive cases in comparison to all other elementary school districts in Pinal county. The Arizona Department of Health Services has advised that all schools throughout the state deliver instruction virtually at this time.
It is our goal to open our schools to our students, who would like to attend class in-person, as soon as it is determined safe to do so. This has been a very challenging time for all of us and our desire is to get back to a normal schedule as soon as possible. Even with the best intentions, we have an obligation to do our best to protect the health of our students, staff, and families.
A survey was sent out to all families last week. Please take a little time to participate in this survey so we receive feedback from as many as possible.

With sincerest regards for your health and welfare,
Superintendent Denise Rogers

Superintendente Denise Rogers

  •
  • Instructional Day for both schools: 8:10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. (Quarters 1-3 will be 100% virtual until safe to return)
